While the MY G5 did not come equipped with a multimedia-rich environment, it did support a variety of basic audio and image formats such as BMP, JPEG, PNG, and GIF, alongside MIDI, iMelody, and Wave ringtones. Users could personalize their phones with downloadable polyphonic ringtones, adding a touch of individuality within the constraints of the limited audio capability. The presence of a loudspeaker enhanced the sound experience despite the absence of a 3.5mm audio jack.
