Connectivity and Communication
In terms of connectivity, the MY X6-2 supports GSM 2G networks on the 900, 1800, and 1900 bands and includes GPRS Class 10 for mobile internet connectivity, although without EDGE. The absence of 3G and Wi-Fi reflects the limited expectations of mobile data use at the time. Bluetooth version 1.2 is available for basic wireless connectivity, such as connecting to headsets or transferring files, complemented by an infrared port, which was a common alternative for wireless data exchange before Bluetooth became standard. Notably, the phone lacks a 3.5mm jack, precluding the use of standard headphones, and does not include positioning services like GPS.
