In terms of memory, the Samsung A637 was relatively capable for its class, offering a microSDHC card slot for expandable storage. It also provided 50MB of internal memory, a practical amount for storing contacts and basic applications. Its phonebook capacity was notable at 1000 entries, complete with a photocall feature. Users could keep track of up to 30 each of dialed, received, and missed calls, highlighting its focus on core telecommunication features.
The device was equipped with a modest 1.3 MP camera, suitable for capturing pictures with no expectations of high-quality imagery. Video recording was also possible, albeit at basic resolutions. The absence of a selfie camera and loudspeaker meant that the device was strictly utilitarian, sticking to essential functions without additional frills. Sound capabilities were limited, with no 3.5mm headphone jack, which required proprietary solutions for audio use.
