Storage and User Interface
Storage on the A897 was limited with only 189MB of internal memory; however, the phone featured a dedicated microSDHC slot for expandable memory, allowing users to store more files by adding an external memory card. The user interface, characterized by Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz 2.0, provided users with basic customization options and interactivity akin to an early smartphone experience. The phonebook can store up to 2000 entries, including photo call, and keeps a record of the last 30 dialed, received, and missed calls.
