While not extraordinary by today's standards, the Samsung D520's 1.3 MP rear camera was capable of capturing essential moments in reasonable quality for the era. It included an LED flash to aid low-light photography, although its effectiveness was limited. Users could also record video at a CIF resolution, adding a slight edge to the phone’s feature set for multimedia enthusiasts, albeit in a very basic form.
