Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Exhibit 4G runs on the Hummingbird chipset and is powered by a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU, paired with a PowerVR SGX540 GPU. For its time, this setup allowed for satisfactory performance in handling everyday tasks such as web browsing, email, and multimedia playback. However, with only 512MB of RAM, multitasking capabilities are limited, which may cause slowdowns when running multiple applications simultaneously.
The phone shipped with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), offering a user-friendly experience typical of early Android devices. While the operating system lacks some of the modern features and optimizations, it covers the essentials with access to the Android Market (now Google Play Store) for downloading apps, incorporating basic web browsing with support for HTML and Adobe Flash, which was more relevant at the time.
