Performance and Software
Powering the Galaxy A8 (2018) is Samsung's Exynos 7885 chipset, built on the 14 nm process, coupled with an octa-core CPU configuration (2x2.2 GHz Cortex-A73 & 6x1.6 GHz Cortex-A53). The Mali-G71 GPU supports this setup, providing adequate graphics performance for gaming and multimedia tasks. Out of the box, it runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) but is upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie) with Samsung's One UI, ensuring a smooth and modern user interface. With options for 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, both with 4GB of RAM, the device also offers a dedicated microSDXC slot for expanded storage needs.
