Samsung Galaxy Alpha Performance and Software

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Exynos 5430 Octa chipset, complemented by an octa-core processor consisting of four Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and four Cortex-A7 cores at 1.3 GHz. This configuration provides a balanced blend of power efficiency and performance, suitable for multitasking and general usage. Paired with Mali-T628 MP6 GPU, the device handles graphic-intensive tasks reasonably well for its time. Out of the box, the Galaxy Alpha runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, which was upgradeable to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, bringing improved responsiveness and new features with each update. However, it should be noted that the lack of a microSD card slot for memory expansion might limit users to its internal 32GB storage.
