Performance and Software
Running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and upgradable to Lollipop 5.1.1, the Galaxy Core Prime offered a user-friendly interface that was consistent with Samsung's UI design ethos of that era. The device houses a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset, accompanied by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 306 GPU. With only 1GB of RAM, performance was restricted to handling simple tasks, and the phone could struggle with more demanding apps or multitasking. The 8GB internal storage was limited, but the option to expand it via a dedicated microSD slot was a useful feature, catering to users needing more space for apps, pictures, and media files.
