For photography, the Galaxy Grand Prime features an 8 MP main camera with an f/2.4 aperture and autofocus, supported by an LED flash and panorama mode. It captures 1080p video at 30fps. The front-facing camera is quite serviceable with 5 MP resolution, catering well to video calls and selfies. While these specifications were competitive for an entry-level device in 2014, they do not meet today's standards for smartphone photography.
