Performance
Under the hood, the Galaxy J1 Nxt is powered by a Spreadtrum SC9830 chipset paired with a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and a Mali-400MP2 GPU. This hardware configuration, while on the lower end, is sufficient for basic tasks such as calling, texting, internet browsing, and handling simple apps or games. Running on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), the phone provides a user interface that older Android users may find familiar, despite being behind the current software standards. Storage-wise, it comes with 8GB of internal space and either 768MB or 1GB of RAM, depending on the model, with an option to expand via the shared SIM card slot.
