Samsung Galaxy J7 Performance and Software

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Galaxy J7 is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 or the Exynos 7580 Octa, both crafted on a 28 nm process. With an octa-core CPU setup featuring Cortex-A53 cores and either an Adreno 405 or Mali-T720MP2 GPU, the phone handles moderate multitasking and casual gaming adequately. Initially launched with Android 5.1 Lollipop, it is upgradable to Android 7.1.1 Nougat, offering improvements in user experience and security. However, its 1.5GB of RAM can be a bottleneck for heavy multitasking or running large apps. The phone includes 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSDXC slot, providing some relief for users needing additional space.
