Performance and Software
At its core, the Galaxy M30 is powered by the Exynos 7904 chipset, coupled with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. This configuration facilitates smooth performance for day-to-day tasks and light gaming. However, it may show some limitations under heavy multitasking or intense gaming scenarios. The device initially shipped with Android 8.1 (Oreo) but is upgradable to Android 10 with One UI 2, offering improved user interface and software features.
The phone comes with various memory configurations: starting from 32GB storage with 3GB RAM, up to 128GB storage complemented by 6GB of RAM. The presence of a dedicated microSDXC card slot provides an easy way to expand storage, catering to users who require more space for apps, photos, and media.
