Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Galaxy Note5 was powered by the Exynos 7420 Octa chipset, fabricated on a 14nm process, and coupled with an octa-core CPU configuration (4x2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 & 4x1.5 GHz Cortex-A53) and a Mali-T760MP8 GPU. These specifications provided robust performance that ensured smooth multitasking and efficiency for everyday activities and intensive applications alike. The device originally ran on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop but was upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat, which extended its software capabilities with new features and improved performance. Unfortunately, the phone lacked a microSD card slot for expandable storage, but it offered internal storage options of 32GB or 64GB, both with 4GB of RAM, leveraging UFS 2.0 for faster data transfer rates.
