Under the hood, the Galaxy Premier is powered by a TI OMAP 4470 chipset with a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. Its performance was satisfactory for everyday tasks such as web browsing, social media usage, and light gaming, although its 1GB of RAM could present limitations when multitasking or running more demanding applications. The phone initially ran on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), which was user-friendly and relatively smooth at the time but lacks the advancements and optimizations found in newer versions of Android.
