Performance
Under the hood, the Galaxy S III CDMA was powered by the Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset, featuring a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU and an Adreno 225 GPU. This combination delivered adequate performance for the time, allowing for smooth multitasking and gaming, although heavy applications could occasionally push its limits. Initially released with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it was upgradable to 4.3 Jelly Bean, which brought improvements to performance and battery efficiency.
