Performance and Software
Initially shipped with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the S5 Neo is upgradeable to Android 7.0 Nougat, ensuring a reasonably update user interface and features. At its core, the phone is powered by the Exynos 7580 Octa chipset, paired with an octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T720MP2 GPU. While this setup was modest even at the time of release, it provides smooth performance for everyday tasks and moderate multitasking, complemented by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSDXC).
