A removable 2800 mAh Li-Ion battery powered the device, allowing up to 20 hours of talk time on a 3G network and an impressive 75 hours of music playback. The option for wireless charging, though market-dependent, was a forward-thinking feature for its time. Connectivity options on the Galaxy S5 Plus were comprehensive, including microUSB 3.0 with MHL support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, NFC, GPS with GLONASS and BDS, and even an infrared port, though it did not include a radio.
