Performance
Initially shipped with Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) and later upgradable to 6.0 (Marshmallow), the tablet includes Samsung's TouchWiz UI. Performance is bolstered by options for either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC or an Exynos 5420 chipset, both fabricated on a 28 nm process. The Snapdragon variant features a quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, while the Exynos model includes a more complex setup of a quad-core 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 and a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7, complemented by a Mali-T628MP6 GPU. With 3 GB of RAM and internal storage variations of 16GB or 32GB, the device can handle multitasking and application demands efficiently. Additional storage via a microSDXC card slot provides ample space for media and applications.
