This setup is divided between four 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 cores for demanding tasks and four 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 cores for less intensive processes. Coupled with 3GB of RAM, the device provides smooth multitasking capabilities that were impressive at the time of its release. The tablet originally ran on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI layer on top, and was upgradeable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, adding longevity through software improvements.
