Performance and Software
The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 was available in a few different variants, which influenced its performance capabilities. The Wi-Fi models featured an Exynos 5433 chipset with an octa-core CPU made up of two quad-core processors, while the LTE T719N model included the more powerful Snapdragon 652. Each model was accompanied by 3GB of RAM, which was quite generous for tablets at the time, ensuring smooth multitasking and general operation. Initially, the tablet ran Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop), but it was upgradable to Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) or even Android 7.0 (Nougat) on the T719N, allowing it to benefit from newer software features and performance enhancements.
