Operating System and Performance
Under the hood, the Samsung i600 was powered by a 200 MHz ARM926EJ-S CPU, anchored on the TI OMAP 1710 chipset. It ran Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0, which offered a suite of business-friendly features such as Microsoft Office Mobile and integration with Microsoft Outlook. However, the comparatively low processing power and a skimpy 64MB RAM certainly limited its multitasking capabilities, rendering the device more suited for basic tasks rather than intensive applications.
