Samsung i900 Omnia Display

Display

Sporting a 3.2-inch TFT resistive touchscreen, the Omnia's display offered 256K colors, although the effective color output was closer to 65K. With a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and a pixel density of about 146 ppi, the display was modest but functional for basic smartphone tasks. The screen included handwriting recognition capabilities, which complemented the goals of productivity and personalization. However, the screen's screen-to-body ratio of approximately 45.7% made it clear that maximizing display area wasn't yet a primary design focus for smartphones.
