Under the hood, the Galaxy S4 I9506 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset, coupled with a quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU and an Adreno 330 GPU. This hardware configuration allowed it to handle multitasking and gaming with ease in its time. The phone initially ran on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz UI, but it was upgradable to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, offering users improved functionality and features over time.
