The Samsung J165 operates on GSM and UMTS networks, supporting 2G and 3G bands to provide basic connectivity of up to 384 kbps. While this speed is modest by modern standards, it was adequate for standard mobile tasks at the time. The phone includes 8MB of internal storage, supplemented by a dedicated microSD card slot, enabling users to store additional contacts, messages, and media. The phonebook can store up to 1,000 entries with the capability for photocall, accommodating plenty of contacts even for frequent networkers.
