Display
At the core of the Galaxy U's appeal was its 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display, with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Though it might seem modest today, the display provided vibrant colors and a decent pixel density of around 252 ppi, making it quite competitive against its contemporaries. The touchscreen interface, bolstered by Samsung's TouchWiz 3.0 UI, allowed users a more intuitive interaction with the Android 2.1 (Eclair) operating system. This OS iteration was standard at the time and provided functionality and application support that met user expectations of the era.
