Display
Equipped with a 3.0-inch TFT resistive touchscreen, the S5230 Star offered a then-considerable display size, capable of showing 256K colors, which was quite standard at the time. With a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, the screen's clarity was satisfactory for basic phone tasks, like messaging and casual browsing. However, the resistive touchscreen meant that it was less responsive compared to the capacitive touchscreens that would later become the norm. The inclusion of handwriting recognition was a notable feature, providing an additional input method.
