The Samsung X680 has a serviceable sound setup, including a loudspeaker for calls and media playback. Users could personalize their device with downloadable polyphonic and MP3 ringtones, but the lack of a 3.5 mm audio jack means it requires alternative connectivity methods for headsets. In terms of communication features, the phone supports 2G GSM bands and provides GPRS and EDGE class 10 connectivity, allowing for basic internet access through a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser. However, it does not support modern connectivity options like Wi-Fi or advanced GPS positioning. Bluetooth 1.2 is available for connecting to other devices, but the USB connection uses a proprietary method.
