The Sharp 825SH was powered by a removable Li-Ion 680 mAh battery. While small by modern standards, the battery was sufficient for the energy requirements of the feature phone. It offered up to 290 hours of standby time on a 2G connection, which dropped slightly to 240 hours on 3G. Talk time was up to 3 hours and 50 minutes on 2G and slightly less, at 3 hours and 10 minutes, on 3G networks. Given the power consumption norms of the time, these were decent numbers that would support a typical day’s usage without frequent recharging.
