Network and Connectivity
The Sharp 903 was equipped to handle GSM and UMTS network technologies, making it compatible with a range of cellular networks. It supported 2G bands in the GSM 900, 1800, and 1900 frequencies, and embraced 3G connectivity through UMTS 2100 bands. Although the data speed maxed out at 384 kbps, which was standard for 3G networks at the time, it enabled decent browsing and download experiences for users during its launch period. Apart from cellular connectivity, the phone also had Bluetooth 1.1 and infrared port capabilities, although it lacked modern features like WLAN and GPS positioning.
