Running on a proprietary operating system, the GX25 supports basic applications such as SMS, EMS, MMS, and email, alongside a WAP browser for minimal web browsing. Gaming enthusiasts had access to both built-in games and additional downloadable Java games thanks to the MIDP 2.0 runtime environment. Predictive text input was included, enhancing text communication efficiency. Powered by a removable Li-Ion 780 mAh battery, the GX25 promises up to 250 hours of standby and about 3 hours and 30 minutes of talk time, which was competitive for phones considering battery technology of that time.
