Sharp GX40 Connectivity

Connectivity

Connectivity features of the Sharp GX40 are quite basic. The phone supports GPRS class 10 for data transfer but lacks EDGE and WLAN capabilities, which limits its internet working speed and usability. Bluetooth 1.1 offers some measure of wireless connection, primarily beneficial for file transfers and basic connectivity needs of the time. An infrared port is included, which was a popular feature for transferring contacts and data without cables in mid-2000s phones. Additionally, the phone includes a proprietary USB port for wired connections and an FM radio function for on-the-go entertainment.
