Connectivity and Network
As a tri-band GSM device, the Siemens S55 operates on 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz bands, which enabled broader international use. The phone supports GPRS Class 10, providing basic internet connectivity. Notably, the phone includes Bluetooth 1.1, enabling wireless data exchange with compatible devices, plus an infrared port, a feature useful for short-range file sharing but now generally obsolete. Absence of EDGE, WLAN, and USB marked a limitation for data connectivity.
