Siemens SL55 Connectivity and Features

Connectivity and Features

The SL55 operates on GSM networks, including bands GSM 900, 1800, and 1900. For its time, it was quite versatile in terms of network compatibility. Unfortunately, it does not support EDGE or modern high-speed data technologies, which limits its internet capabilities. The phone does offer GPRS Class 8 for more basic internet usage, primarily suitable for accessing WAP 1.2.1 services.

On the connectivity front, it lacks WLAN, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity, aligning with early mobile phones' reality. However, it does include an infrared port, which was the norm for wireless data transfer at that time, allowing users to exchange contacts or ringtones with other infrared-enabled devices.
