Sony Ericsson positioned the C902 as a camera phone, spotlighting its 5-megapixel rear camera equipped with autofocus and an LED flash. The camera was advanced for its time, providing users with excellent photo-taking capabilities and the convenience of a compact digital camera alternative. Users could capture photos rich in detail and color, while video recording was capped at 320p at 30 frames per second. There is also a QCIF video call camera on the front, fulfilling the basic needs for video conferencing, though its quality is rudimentary by contemporary standards.
