Connectivity and Features
Connectivity on the K508 was relatively limited, as it operated on 2G GSM networks. It supported GPRS Class 10 but lacked EDGE for faster data speeds. Additionally, modern connectivity staples such as WLAN and Bluetooth were missing, with the exception of an infrared port, which allowed for basic file transfers using infrared technology.
In terms of communication features, the K508 supported SMS, EMS, MMS, email, and Instant Messaging, thanks to its WAP 2.0/xHTML browser. The device also boasted Java MIDP 2.0 capabilities, enabling users to download and play a variety of Java-based games and applications, expanding its functionality.
