Connectivity and Communication
Connectivity on the S700 includes GSM technology, supporting 2G bands across 900, 1800, and 1900 frequencies, ensuring it had broad compatibility for voice calls worldwide. Data connectivity was limited to GPRS Class 10, with no EDGE support. Bluetooth 1.1 and an infrared port provided wireless options of the period, though there was no WiFi support. USB connectivity was proprietary, which could make transferring files to and from the device somewhat cumbersome.
