Performance and Connectivity
Under the hood, the V800 supported GSM and early 3G (UMTS) networks, providing fairly decent connectivity speeds of up to 384 kbps, which was significant for its era. However, modern speed tests would show it severely lacking. The phone's connectivity suite includes Bluetooth 1.1, primarily for basic file transmissions and headset connectivity, and an infrared port, which was a popular method for data transfer before the ubiquity of Bluetooth. Lacking both Wi-Fi and GPS capabilities, the V800 stands as a testament to a pre-smartphone era, focusing instead on the essentials of mobile communication.
