Sony Ericsson Z1010 Design and Display

Design and Display

The Sony Ericsson Z1010 sports a distinctive clamshell design, which was quite popular during the era of its release. This design not only protected the keypad and main display but also added a level of compactness to the phone. At 98.5 x 54.5 x 29 mm and weighing 144 grams, the Z1010 was compact yet substantial to hold, striking a balance between portability and functionality. The main display of the phone is a TFT screen that supports 65,000 colors, with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. This was fairly standard for mid-range phones at the time. The secondary external display, although limited to four shades of grey, served the practical purpose of showing the time and basic notifications without needing to flip open the phone.
