Equipped to support GSM and HSPA network technologies, the Z780 was designed to cater to both 2G and 3G bands, allowing for basic mobile internet usage with data speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. While its internal memory of 35MB appears limited, it was quite adequate at the time for fundamental applications and storage needs. Moreover, the availability of a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot, expandable up to 8 GB, enabled users to store more media and data than many phones of its class.
