Powered by a Mediatek MT6577 chipset coupled with a dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, the Spice Mi-491 Stellar Virtuoso Pro was built to handle basic smartphone functions. Complemented by a PowerVR SGX531u GPU, the phone could manage casual gaming and standard applications without too much fuss, although it would struggle with more demanding tasks or multitasking. Running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), users were able to enjoy a wide array of Google’s ecosystem, supported by a microSDHC slot for expandable storage, which was vital given the rather limited onboard memory typical of budget phones at the time.
