Performance and Software
The myTouch 3G 1.2 runs on Android 1.5 Cupcake, one of the earliest versions of Android. This limits the phone's ability to support newer applications and features available in later Android iterations. The device is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7201A chipset with a 528 MHz ARM 11 CPU and an Adreno 130 GPU. While these specifications are modest, they allowed for basic smartphone functionality at the time, including running simple apps, browsing, and media playback.
The phone includes 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage, with support for expandable storage using a microSD card. Although this internal storage is minimal by today’s standards, the inclusion of a microSD card slot was a great feature for storing additional apps and media.
