Although basic by modern standards, the TX62 supported SMS, MMS, and email functions, which were key for communication. Internet browsing was possible via the WAP 2.0/xHTML browser, albeit limited due to the network speed constraints of 384 kbps on its 3G UMTS 2100 band.
