While running basic software, the Eco supports SMS and MMS messaging, and it comes with a small selection of games to provide brief entertainment. However, it does not support Java applications, which somewhat limits the range of games and applications available. It can play MP3 and MP4 files, adding a layer of media functionality to its repertoire without eschewing its basic phone identity.
