Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Vivo X9 is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset, alongside an octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 506 GPU. This configuration is designed to provide smooth performance for everyday tasks and some moderate gaming. The phone originally shipped with Android 6.1 Marshmallow, skinned with Vivo's Funtouch 3 interface. It can be upgraded to Android 8 Oreo, which brings additional features and improvements to the user experience.
The device comes with two storage variants: 64GB and 128GB, both paired with 4GB of RAM. However, the lack of a microSD card slot may be a limitation for users who require additional storage. The choice of eMMC 5.1 internal storage provides adequate speed and performance for the time.
