Under the hood, the vivo Xplay5 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 chipset, an octa-core processor composed of four Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.4 GHz. This configuration ensures a balance of power and efficiency, smoothly handling multitasking and demanding applications. The Adreno 510 GPU complements the processor well, offering decent graphical capabilities for gaming. Paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, the Xplay5 ensures ample space and smooth performance for the plethora of applications users may require. However, the device does lack support for expandable storage, which may be a limitation for some.
The phone originally shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop, skinned with Vivo's Funtouch OS 2.5. Though Funtouch provides a unique user experience with its custom UI elements, the outdated Android version might pose concerns in terms of compatibility and security updates.
