Fitted with a TFT display capable of showing 65K colors, the screen of the Vodafone 228 offers a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. While modest by today’s standards, at its release the display was considered adequate for basic tasks such as browsing through contacts, composing text messages, and playing simple games. The vibrant 65K color output, although limited, provided a step up from monochrome screens, enhancing the user interface with a bit of visual flair.
