Although limited in its feature set, the Vodafone 533 Crystal offers a few entertainment options, such as games and support for Java applications (MIDP 2.0), allowing for simple third-party app installations. It supports basic messaging services with SMS and MMS capabilities, and comes with a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser powered by Openwave 7.2.7, which offers basic web browsing functions. The phone also contains an MP3 player, which, coupled with a removable Li-Ion 750 mAh battery, can provide ample entertainment during long idle periods, with a stand-by time of up to 350 hours and a talk time of about 3 hours.
