The Vodafone 543 features a 2.4-inch TFT resistive touchscreen capable of displaying 256K colors. Although its 240 x 320-pixel resolution with a ~167 ppi density is relatively modest by today’s standards, it was adequate for its time, especially for tasks that didn't require high-resolution imaging. The resistive touchscreen, however, means that users would often need to apply more pressure or use a stylus, which could feel less responsive compared to capacitive touchscreens.
