Under the hood, the Wiko Sunset2 is powered by a Mediatek MT6572W chipset coupled with a dual-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and a Mali-400 GPU. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, its performance was tailored towards basic smartphone operations rather than power-intensive applications. The 512MB of RAM alongside 4GB of internal storage was fairly common in its category during its launch; however, its capacity was a limitation for users who sought to run multiple apps simultaneously. The presence of a microSDXC card slot, allowing for expanded storage options, was a welcome feature to mitigate the limited internal memory.
